About Simons Carpets
Decades of carpet & flooring service
Family-owned flooring specialists serving Southeast Queensland
When customers walk through our doors, they often say the same thing: “You’ve been here forever.” They’re right. For decades we’ve watched this community grow, seen families move in, raise children, and come back years later for flooring in their children’s first homes. Some customers bring their grandchildren now.
The Simons Carpets story started in NSW, then expanded into Queensland. Eric joined as office manager where he learnt the craft; from measuring living rooms to understanding what makes quality carpet last decades. In 1983, Eric acquired the business and continues to operate the business as Simons Carpets Strathpine.

Why we’ve stood the test of time
Top quality without the premium price tag
Last week, a customer brought in a sample from a big-box store’s “premium” range. We showed her our mid-tier option, same weight, better backing, $15 per square metre less. No franchise fees, no sales commissions, just direct relationships with brands like Redbook, Godfrey Hirst, and Polyflor. Our showroom holds over 200 carpet products and 10+ vinyl plank ranges because we’d rather give you real choices than upsell you on what earns us the most.
Family-owned, not a franchise
When you call Simons Carpets Strathpine at 4:55pm on a Friday, Eric answers. Need affordable vinyl flooring in North Brisbane by next week? We’ll work to make it happen. Looking for Ipswich carpet and flooring that fits a tight renovation budget? Let’s find it together. From Moreton Bay to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast to Somerset, we service Southeast Queensland the way only a local, independent business can: with flexibility, personal attention, and phone numbers that reach real people.
Integrity in every interaction
Our installers work Monday through Saturday because that’s when you need them, not just when it’s convenient for us. Every quote includes installation. No surprise fees, no pressure tactics, no “limited time offers” designed to rush your decision. We’ve had customers leave to compare prices elsewhere, then return a week later. They always say the same thing: “Everyone else tried to sell us up. You just listened”.
